Prepaid lesson packs that track themselves down to the last session
Most SG tutors run on 10-lesson packs paid upfront — usually S$650 to S$1,200 depending on level and subject. Cadence holds the pack balance against the student's profile, ticks it down as each lesson completes, and pings the parent on WhatsApp when there are two sessions left. The renewal Stripe link goes out automatically so packs don't lapse mid-month and create that awkward 'eh sorry which lesson was this' conversation at the start of the next session. Validity windows (90 days, six months, whatever your policy is) are enforced too.
Parent-pays, student-attends routing without losing either thread
Mr Tan books and pays for the package. Aiden, 14, is the one actually showing up on Wednesday at 7pm. Cadence keeps both contacts linked to the same student profile — billing, package renewals, and policy notifications go to the parent's WhatsApp, while session timing confirmations and 'I'll be 5 mins late' messages flow to the student's WhatsApp. Neither side gets spammed with the wrong message, and you never have to play telephone between a parent who's at work and a student who's at school.
Trial-to-package conversion at a different price tier
New leads from Carousell or a referral message you wanting a trial. Cadence offers your trial rate (commonly S$30-60 instead of the regular S$80-120) for the first session, books it into your calendar, and routes the parent through Stripe. After the trial, your Owner Agent prompts you with 'Aiden's trial done — push the 10-pack at S$750?' One reply and the regular-rate package link goes out. No manual price-switching, no forgotten upsell.
Exam-month intensive surges without breaking your schedule
October-November for O-Levels, May for IB, every two weeks for IGCSE mocks — exam season means some of your students jump from one session a week to four. Cadence handles the schedule pivot: temporarily uncap that student's weekly bookings, add the extra slots into your block-out-aware calendar, and bill the intensive lessons against a separate exam-prep pack at your premium rate. Once the exam passes, things drop back to normal automatically — no need to manually undo the override.
